Below are many questions commonly asked by visitors to this website:

Do you offer free consultations?

Our initial consultations are conducted by lawyers, not legal assistants.  We spend as much time as needed to accurately assess the case, and provide answers to your questions.  We charge a small initial consultation fee for family law, business, and tax cases that is credited to your retainer if you decide to hire the firm.

How do legal fees work?

There are several types of attorney fee arrangements that may be available based on the type of case, and the attorney principally performing services in the matter.  Fees may be "flat" fees, or one-time payments for certain services; they may be hourly fees, in which case an hourly fee is billed against a retainer that you deposit with the firm; or they may be contingent fees calculated as a percentage of the gross recovery in certain limited instances involving specific types of litigation or injury claims.

Do I want a boutique firm, or a volume practice?

If you are looking for a professional relationship built on personal attention, strategic planning, and focused litigation, you want a boutique firm and not a "divorce mill" or volume practice.  At our firm your case is managed by a lawyer, not a legal assistant.  When you call, you can talk to your lawyer, not just a paralegal.  Our firm stresses quality over quantity, and our clients do the same.

Every case is different, and there is no way to begin to answer all relevant questions on the pages of this website.  The above FAQs are general answers to common questions and are not legal advice for your specific situation.  To find answers to your specific questions, contact the firm so that we can arrange a time to speak with a lawyer.
